Leigh Baseheart Kahn joined the firm in 2019 and practices exclusively in the area of matrimonial and family law. She previously was a partner at Mayerson Abramowitz & Kahn, prior to that Leigh was an associate at Bronstein, Van Veen & Bronstein, LLC, where she worked on all aspects of matrimonial matters, from the preparation of complex prenuptial and marital settlement agreements to the preparation of matrimonial matters for trial.
Leigh has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 2012. Leigh is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section, and of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, where she was a member of the Committee on Matrimonial Law from 2005 through 2008. Leigh was admitted to the Bar of New York State in 1997, and to the Bar of the State of New Jersey in 1998. Leigh has a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard.
Leigh resides in Northern Westchester with her husband and two children, both of whom are very actively involved in sports – her daughter in gymnastics and her son in numerous sports, particularly in Little League, in which her husband plays a very active role both on and off the field. Leigh has family roots dating back more than two centuries in the U.S., and is a member of both the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society.
