Mr. Grossman's matrimonial and family law experience began more than 20 years ago when a commercial client asked for assistance in a matrimonial dispute. He has since accumulated extensive experience in all aspects of matrimonial and family law including matters involving pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, child custody and visitation, relocation disputes, child support and spousal support (maintenance), equitable distribution, valuation, as well as post-judgment enforcement / modification proceedings.
Mr. Grossman also mediates matrimonial and family law matters, and works with clients engaged in mediation as a consulting / review attorney as well.
Mr. Grossman holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, has been selected as a New York Super Lawyer in family law each year since 2012, and has been included in “Best Lawyers in America”. He is a member of the Matrimonial Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and he serves as the Co-Vice Chair of the Grievance Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association. He has lectured on topics in matrimonial and family law, and has authored articles including “Unpaid Fees and Fee Dispute Arbitration” (Nassau Lawyer, Vol. 61, No. 9, May 2012), "The Child Support Lottery" (Family Law Review, New York State Bar Association, Vol. 43, No. 1), and "The Trivialization of Fault as a Factor Effecting Equitable Distribution" (Family Law Review, New York State Bar Association, Vol. 40, No. 3).
Having worked in businesses before attending law school, Mr. Grossman’s experience gives him additional insight into financial matters. He has also served as a "special prosecutor" for local municipalities, a fee dispute arbitrator, and as a Special Master.
Mr. Grossman is admitted to practice law in New York, and has appeared in other jurisdictions with local counsel.
